EPHESIANS 2:10

For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.

INCEPTION

April, 11, 2022, Elton McWashington, Jr. woke up from a dream. In the last few seconds before opening his eyes, the word OMICRON flashed in bright orange letters. It was like seeing the title of a movie one last time after the cast, crew and credits rolled. This was the official date of inception of House Omicron. Inception is defined as the act of instilling an idea into someone’s mind by entering their dreams.

Somewhat familiar with the word “OMICRON” as the name of a letter in the greek alphabet, he wondered “why that particular letter?”. Over the course of several days, he discovered through research that this vision was no coincidence. The letter OMICRON is the 15th letter of the Greek alphabet. It is derived from the Phoenician letter “O”, which was pronounced “ayin”; meaning “eye”. With Omicron being a Greek letter, McWashington originally saw this as an opportunity to create a greek letter organization, but the plan was soon evolved into creating a community… a collective for creatives and visionaries.

Seeing that vision cannot have life and purpose without action, Vision(represented by the color Gold), and Action(represented by the color Orange), immediately became the roots of all that House Omicron is and will become. Gold represents the value of Vision. Orange represents the steps and measures taken to ensure that vision is manifested.

It is a most firm belief, that our gifts and talents can make room for us, take us great places, and place us before great people. We just have to put action behind the vision.

Many of us are planning, waiting, doubting and procrastinating our way out of what our gifts could really do for us… but even more so, what they can do for OTHERS. Some of us have ideas, books, music, works of art, poems, songs, productions, etc., just waiting to get out of us.

House Omicron is a collective for creatives and visionaries. It borrows various aspects of its makeup from organizations such as fraternities, masterminds and life groups. The mission of this collective is to support, collaborate with, and challenge those who have important ideas to get out. It will be a safe circle in which to share, learn and grow with others with similar talents and mindsets.

We like to think we have time, but it’s the one thing not promised to us, and the one thing we can never get back once it has passed away.

House Omicron is not a religious organization, however, it is founded on a key set of scriptures that confirm and give clarity regarding our God-given gifts.

As creative and visionary souls, we promote the belief in the power of our gifts and talents, and agree to be responsible stewards as we challenge, educate, and impact the world around us.

Bright as Tigers. Brave as Waves.
